MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - The paved multi-use trail at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park south of Mandan is being closed for repairs.

The state Parks and Recreation Department says the shutdown will begin Monday and run through June 3. However, the trail will be made available to the public during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, May 27-30.

Officials say the trail is in need of repairs, an asphalt overlay and improvements to make it more accessible to people with disabilities.

The trail repairs are part of a larger improvement project taking place this year at the park.
