OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Brooke Kissinger is transferring from Illinois to Creighton and will be eligible to play for the Bluejays in 2017-18.

Creighton coach Jim Flanery announced Friday that the native of Minden, Nebraska, would be joining his program after spending the last two years with the Illini.

Kissinger is the Nebraska state high school record holder for career 3-pointers with 363, including a single-season record 110 in 2011. She averaged 19 minutes a game for the Illini last season, mostly as a reserve. She shot a team-best 41 percent on 3-pointers and averaged 6.8 points.

Kissinger says she’s been feeling homesick the last two years and that she wanted to move to a school closer to Minden.
