SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have identified the body of a man found in a Scottsdale canal.

Scottsdale police said Friday that the death of 24-year-old Nathan Edmiston appears to be the result of a medical issue.

The body was pulled from the Vista Del Camino Park canal on Wednesday morning.

Police say they received an emergency call just after 6 a.m. from a jogger passing by the canal.

The canal is located by a heavily used bike path in the park.

Friends of Edmiston say he was a frequent runner in the area of the park.
