HEARNE, Texas (AP) - A Central Texas man has been indicted in the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and her 15-year-old daughter whose bodies were found in their burned home.

Brazos (BRAZ’-uhs) County jail records show William Alex Davenport of Hearne (hern) was being held Friday on murder, arson, aggravated assault, parole violation and drug-related charges.

Online records don’t list an attorney to speak for Davenport, who’s held without bond due to the parole violation count.

The bodies of Wanda Vinton and her daughter, Chyene, were discovered Jan. 15. The woman - about 90 minutes before the fire broke out - called officers in Hearne to report an ex-boyfriend bothering her.

Davenport was arrested a week later on drug charges. A Robertson County grand jury indicted him Tuesday. No causes of death were released for the victims.
