SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) - A tractor-trailer driver has been killed after crashing his rig through guardrails and over a steep embankment on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Troopers from the Somerset barracks say the crash occurred shortly after 2 a.m. near mile marker 102 in Jefferson Township in western Pennsylvania.
Police weren’t immediately able to identify the driver.
The truck came to rest against some trees well off the southern berm of the road.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
