PERKINSVILLE, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police are searching for a 28-year-old sex offender who escaped from furlough supervision late last week and hasn’t been seen since.

The Vermont Department of Corrections placed Dale Adams Jr. on escape status Monday after he never returned to his approved home in Perkinsville on May 6. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.

State police say Adams was convicted of a sex-related crime and is believed to be at high-risk of committing another sex offense.

Adams has brown hair, is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Vermont Department of Corrections at 802-885-3544.
