COLUMBIANA, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have arrested nine people in a drug bust in Alabaster.
WBRC-TV reports that (https://bit.ly/1XajYpM ) Lt. Clay Hammac with Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force said those arrested were part of a supply chain that was distributing drugs like cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills in Shelby County.
Hammac said the investigation began with tips from neighbors. After six months of talking to informants, conducting surveillance and undercover operations, authorities raided three homes in an effort they called “Operation Trifecta.”
Officers seized drugs and arrested nine people. They’re still looking for three more suspected drug dealers.
