GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - Delaware officials say they’re searching for an offender who failed to return after going to work.

The Department of Correction said Sunday that Howard J. West II didn’t return from an authorized work pass issued by the Sussex Work Release Center in Georgetown.

The facility manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community and allows them to leave to work, seek jobs and attend certain treatment sessions.

Officials say West is serving a sentence for theft.

West is a white man who is 6 feet tall and has a full beard. Officials are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact authorities.
