MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) - The Muscatine Police Department is collecting used bicycles with plans to restore them.

Police Lt. Anthony Kies tells the Muscatine Journal (https://bit.ly/1Wvkgbq ) that the department plans to eventually distribute the refurbished bikes to local children who need them.

Kies says anyone who has old bicycles in good condition is encouraged to drop them off at the police station.
