CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old boy has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash after striking a pedestrian with a stolen car in Camden last month.
Camden County prosecutors said Saturday that the teen was charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter and other charges on Friday in the death of 53-year-old Tia Walker.
Authorities say the unidentified teen was driving a stolen Cadillac when he hit the woman near South 7th and Pine streets around 10 a.m. on April 25.
The teen stopped the car on a nearby median and fled the scene along with a second unidentified suspect.
He was charged Friday night and is being held at the Camden County Detention Center.
Police say the investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing.
