Tree service worker killed after being struck by truck

FOREST, Va. (AP) - Authorities say a tree service worker has died in Virginia after being crushed by the wheel of an industrial truck.

The Lynchburg News & Advance reports (https://bit.ly/1qkBbQh ) that the incident happened Friday in Bedford County.

Officials say the man was doing clearing trees on private property when he was struck and killed by a company truck. The man’s name has not been released.

Authorities say investigations are being conducted by the medical examiner’s office and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration.
