KALONA, Iowa (AP) - The trial of a Kalona man charged with vehicular homicide for the 2013 traffic death of teenager has been postponed for a third time.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1TTJCMF ) that Jeffrey Bulechek is now set to stand trial on Oct. 4 after his trial was again delayed on Thursday.

He’s charged with homicide by vehicle, a felony. The Iowa State Patrol says Bulechek failed to yield at an intersection in Johnson County in December 2013, causing his truck to collide with a car carrying 15-year-old Brittany Hochstetler, of Grabill, Indiana, who died from her injuries.

The driver of the car and another passenger in the car were hospitalized.

Police have said Bulechek was drunk at the time of the crash.
