PORTIA, Ark. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of the man killed when a helicopter crashed in northeast Arkansas.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Yates says Thomas Weisenbach of Walnut Ridge died when he was struck by flying debris after the helicopter crashed while taking off Friday morning near Portia.

Weisenbach was flown to a Memphis, Tennessee, hospital where he later died.

The pilot of the helicopter was not injured.

Authorities say the helicopter was lifting off after being loaded with chemicals to spray on a rice field when it struck a supply truck.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
