SIBLEY, La. (AP) - The Webster Parish sheriff says a man has been accused of killing his father.
The Press-Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1TTIc4N ) that Sheriff Gary Sexton says Jon Conner Joiner, 22, of Sibley was charged by Webster authorities for second-degree murder on Friday.
Sexton says a Sibley police officer discovered the body of Billy Jack Joiner Jr., 57, after police received a call about a loose donkey on Friday. The officer went to investigate and saw the body of Joiner inside a home.
Sexton says Billy Joiner died from blunt force trauma and that he was beaten to death by a baseball bat.
The sheriff says the father and son had ongoing domestic issues and he believes Jon Joiner may have been upset because his father was making him move out of their home.
