2 killed, 7 injured in violence around Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say two men were killed and seven other people were injured in violence around Philadelphia.

Officials said a 29-year-old man was found lying on the street outside Einstein Hospital in north Philadelphia early Sunday with three gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Shortly afterward, a 49-year-old man was stabbed to death on a street in west Philadelphia.

A woman in her 20s was shot six times in north Philadelphia shortly after midnight and was taken to Temple Hospital in critical condition.

Six men were also shot and injured, one critically, in different parts of north, northeast and west Philadelphia.
