LEWES, Del. (AP) - State police say a bicyclist has been charged after he rode into oncoming traffic and collided with a car on Coastal Highway in Lewes.

Police say 22-year-old Dmitri Rich as thrown from his bike after he hit a car shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car wasn’t injured.

Police say Rich faces several traffic charges, and he was also wanted on unrelated traffic charges.
