BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck City Commissioners are allowing St. Alexius Medical Center to leave a crane on 9th Street through the summer.

KXMB television reports (https://bit.ly/1TBpUCZ ) that the Bismarck City Commission approved a second extension for the crane to be remain at the location until Sept. 1.

Hospital officials plan on taking the crane down on the weekend of July 22, and have the street repaired by September.

The crane has been helping the hospital install its air system for more than two years. The right lane of 9th Street during that time has been closed from Main to Rosser.

The city of Bismarck is not charging St. Alexius for the use of the lane.
