Police: 1 dead, 1 injured in Champaign shooting

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Police in Champaign say one man is dead and another injured after an early morning shooting.

The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/27oLnZN ) that police say shots were fired around 2:15 a.m. Sunday in north Champaign.

Police say a 22-year-old man was taken to an Urbana hospital where he died from his injuries. A 23-year-old man was found at the scene with an injury not believed to be life threatening.

Authorities are investigating.
