NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Metropolitan Nashville Police have released the identity of a man who was fatally shot at an apartment complex.

Police say in a news release that 21-year-old Johnny Broadnax Jr. of Nashville died in the shooting Saturday night.

Officers found Broadnax lying in the grass near a sport utility vehicle which had struck an apartment building. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The statement says witnesses reported seeing a car drive off after the shooting. Police are seeking tips on possible suspects.
