JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Four people have been injured after their car was shot at on a highway in Jacksonville.
The Florida Highway Patrol tells news outlets that an unknown suspect in a vehicle fired several shots at the victims’ car Saturday night on Interstate 295, causing the vehicle to flip over.
Police say the driver of the victims’ vehicle swerved off the road to avoid the gunfire. His car struck a pole and flipped over several times. He and three other passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say that earlier that night, two other vehicles in the area had also been shot at.
Authorities are searching for the suspect or suspects. They’re also investigating to determine if the shootings are related.
