BETHEL PARK, Pa. (AP) - Authorities have identified a teenager killed in a suburban Pittsburgh crash.

Police say three teens were in a car that crashed into a tree in Bethel Park.

A teen boy was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

The Allegheny County medical examiner has identified him as 16-year-old Shane Phillips.

Officials say Phillips had been a sophomore at South Park High School. Counselors will be available at all three school buildings.

An autopsy has determined that Phillips died of blunt force trauma to the head. His death has been ruled an accident.

The crash is under investigation.

The names of the other teens haven’t been released.
