Body found in Russian River in Sonoma County

GUERNEVILLE, Calif. (AP) - Sonoma County authorities are investigating after a male body was found face down in the Russian River near Guerneville.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/23USfcH ) that a couple of kayakers discovered the body on Sunday and alerted the sheriff’s department.

The body was recovered with a helicopter.

Sonoma County Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Miller says there were no signs of trauma or foul play but the death is under investigation.
