WAYLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police in western Michigan say a drunken driver struck another car, killing a woman and injuring two more people.

Dale Melick of Wayland was charged Monday with drunken driving causing death and other crimes. He was being held in jail on $250,000 bond. It wasn’t known if he has a lawyer who could be reached for comment.

The Allegan County sheriff’s office says a car rolled over in a dense tree line early Saturday in Wayland Township, south of Grand Rapids. Jemimah Palsce, a 36-year-old from Albuquerque, New Mexico, died.

Scott Foster was in serious condition. His wife, Barbara Foster, was in critical condition.
