LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas are blaming a drug deal gone awry for the shooting death of a 17-year-old and the arrests of two men on murder, conspiracy and robbery charges.

Kenneth McGee and Brandon Gisendaner are due to have lawyers assigned to their case Tuesday following their arrests last week in the April 24 slaying of Benjamin Andre Soley at apartment complex east of downtown.

McGee and Gisendaner are jailed without bail.

Court records say police found one bullet casing from an assault rifle and nine .40-caliber handgun bullet casings near a pickup truck where Soley was shot and killed early at the complex off Mountain Vista Street and Vegas Valley Drive.

Police say witnesses identified McGee and Gisendaner, who allegedly took cocaine and the assault rifle from Soley.
