HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A Madison County Schools bus driver has been arrested and faces a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Local media outlets report that Alabama State Troopers arrested 40-year-old James Watwood of Brownsboro early Monday morning. Trooper Curtis Summerville says Watwood left the road and hit a mailbox while driving a school bus.

Summerville said no one else was on the bus. No further information has been released.

Jail records do not list an attorney for Watwood.
