CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Charleston man is charged with murder following a weekend shooting at an apartment complex in the city.

Police spokesman Charles Francis says 24-year-old Jacques Supreme Summersett is also charged with possession of a gun during a crime. Summersett is in jail and it was not immediately known if he had an attorney.

He is charged in the shooting death of 24-year-old Odero Rashad Deas of Charleston.

Authorities say the shooting occurred late Saturday afternoon during an argument. They say the two men knew each other.
