CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) - North Dakotans interested in growing hops can get more information about the beer ingredient at a meeting in Casselton.
The state Agriculture Department and North Dakota State University Extension Service are hosting the free meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cottonwood Golf Club.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says hops are suited to North Dakota’s climate. He says the meeting will be an opportunity for his staff, researchers, producers and industry officials to work together to advance the hops market in the state.
The meeting is being funded through a federal grant.
