NEW YORK (AP) - PBS’ Gwen Ifill is “doing well” and plans to return to the air around Memorial Day, the network said Monday.
The “PBS NewsHour” co-anchor informed her audience on April 7 that she would be on leave the next few weeks.
She is taking the brief hiatus to address some ongoing health issues, PBS said.
During her absence, “NewsHour Weekend” anchor Hari Sreenivasan has been co-anchoring with Judy Woodruff.
Ifill also will return to moderating “Washington Week,” the network said.
