TWIN ROCKS, Pa. (AP) - State police say a driver who fatally struck a teen walking home from an after-prom party appeared to be drunk and will likely face criminal charges.

Police are not naming the 20-year-old driver while the investigation continues into the death of 16-year-old Kai Hrabovsky. He was a sophomore at Homer-Center High School.

Troopers from the Indiana barracks say the Homer City youth wasstruck shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday in Pine Township when the Jeep Wrangler failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and veered onto a grassy area at the side of the road. Police say he had just left an after-prom party that was taking place in the woods along the road.

Police say they’ve recovered the driver’s vehicle and were continuing to investigate Monday.
