CONCORD, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a woman’s body was found in a popular community park east of San Francisco.

KTVU reports (https://bit.ly/255JClq ) that the discovery of the body about 2:30 a.m. Monday has forced police to close Newall Community Park.

The body was discovered in the duck pond along Boxer Boulevard in Concord, which is about 30 miles east of San Francisco.

The name and age of the woman was not released.

Police says the death is suspicious but they are not currently searching for any suspects in the park.

Police have not said when the park will reopen.

The case remains under investigation.
