BRIDGETON, N.J. (AP) - Grief counselors and chaplains are on hand at a New Jersey school after two students died in a crash and two others were injured following their prom.
Classes resume Monday at Bridgeton High School after police say 17-year-old Daisia Sutton lost control of her car and struck a tree early Saturday on Route 49 in Maurice River Township.
Sulton and 15-year-old Mikayla Mosley were killed. State police say 16-year-old Zyiah Stocks and 17-year-old Jada Barriento were hospitalized.
Friends and family posted on social media that at least three of the girls attended Bridgeton High School’s prom Friday night.
The Bridgeton schools superintendent said the girls are in the 10th and 11th grades.
The district is collecting money to help their families pay for their funerals.
