LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Latest on a shooting that left a man wounded early Monday on the Las Vegas Strip (all times local):

2:45 p.m.

Police say a man jailed on a weapon charge is suspected of wounding a 32-year-old man in the leg during an early-morning shooting on a sidewalk in front of a Las Vegas Strip resort.

Officer Larry Hadfield says 40-year-old Rodrick Lewis was arrested after questioning about the 3 a.m. Monday incident in front of the Paris Las Vegas hotel-casino.

Police say the wounded man arrived at MountainView Hospital in northwest Las Vegas about 4 a.m. with wounds to the thigh and calf. His name wasn’t made public.

The man told investigators he’d been in a fight with another man on the Strip before he was shot.

Police had said they’d detained two people, but didn’t make any immediate arrests.
