SOMERTON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say 18 farm workers have been attacked by bees in southwestern Arizona.
Somerton Fire Department officials say the incident occurred about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
They say five workers were taken to Yuma Regional Hospital and one woman was reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities say the workers were attending to the melon fields and using the bees to help pollinate.
They say a tractor backed into the bees, causing them to attack.
