SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County prosecutors say a former basketball coach at a Santa Clarita school has pleaded no contest to molesting six teenage boys.

The District Attorney’s office says 29-year-old Randolph Jackson entered pleas Monday to nine counts including continuous sexual abuse and oral copulation of a person under 16. The pleas came just as jury selection was set to begin in Jackson’s trial.

The Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1VZXMj2) the crimes occurred between 2010 and 2015 while Jackson coached at Albert Einstein Academy. The victims were between 13 and 17 years old.

The 29-year-old is expected to receive more than 17 years in prison when sentenced June 1.

Administrators of the public charter school could not immediately be reached for comment.
