OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Oakland Athletics righthander Jesse Hahn was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to start Tuesday night’s game against the Texas Rangers.

He replaces scheduled starter lefthander Erik Surkamp, who was optioned to Nashville.

The A’s also recalled catcher Max Muncy, to replace catcher Josh Phegley, who went on the disabled list, retroactive to May 10, with a strained right knee.

Hahn (1-1, 3.00) is in his second stint with the Athletics. He opened the year in Triple-A. Muncy made his major league debut with the A’s last year.
