NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A New York man has been convicted on charges he used a fake Facebook account to coerce a teenage girl into sending him nude images of herself and traveled to New Jersey to have sex with another girl.

Federal prosecutors say Clifford Wares was convicted Tuesday on several counts, including production of child pornography. The 43-year-old Warwick man faces several decades in prison when he’s sentenced June 27.

Prosecutors say Wares communicated online with a 13-year-old New Jersey girl for three months in 2011. They say he used the fake Facebook account to pretend to be a child she knew and had her send photos and videos of herself engaging in sex acts.

Prosecutors say Wares also met a 14-year-old girl online that year and drove to New Jersey to engage in sex acts with her.
