LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say a man was shot several times while repairing a car in the Boyle Heights area.
Authorities are searching for a female suspect who sped off in a minivan after the shooting Monday evening.
Officer Mike Lopez says the man was outside working on the car when an unknown woman approached and began a brief conversation. Lopez says the woman suddenly fired several rounds at the man before running off.
She was last seen getting into a gray or silver minivan driven by an unidentified man.
The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/1XiuCe3 ) the victim, who’s in his 20s, was hospitalized in critical condition.
Investigators don’t know what prompted the shooting.
