WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - Williston police say two men were found dead Tuesday after shots were fired in an apartment complex.

The Williston Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1TlIDpX ) that police responded to multiple 911 calls at the Renaissance Heights apartment complex late Tuesday morning and found the bodies. Police say they detained a man and a woman in the apartment for questioning.

Police say they found three guns found at the scene and believe that 9 to 16 shots were fired. It was not known whether the guns belonged to the victims or residents of the apartment.

Authorities did not identify the victims but said they were from out of state.

Police say they do not suspect that the shooting was the result of a home invasion and there is no danger to the public.
