ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Orange County say three people are injured and more than a dozen are displaced after fire tore through a senior-living apartment complex in Anaheim.
Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt says 16 apartments were damaged in the blaze reported late Tuesday that caused nearly a half-million dollars in losses.
Wyatt says one person suffered burns and two are being treated for smoke inhalation. Their injuries are not life-threatening, he says.
Investigators believe the fire started in an upstairs apartment and then spread to a hallway.
The Red Cross is helping displaced residents find emergency housing.
The cause is under investigation.
