ALPENA, Mich. (AP) - Police say they’re working to find anyone responsible for recent attempts to apparently damage trains passing through Alpena by piling debris on tracks.
Police say it’s happened multiple times on Lake State Railroad tracks in the northern Lower Peninsula community. They say it’s vandalism that involves trespassing on railroad property. And they warn that it’s dangerous - not just illegal - to be on the tracks.
Police are seeking tips from the public.
