WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a fire and two small explosions blew the roof off a Long Island furniture warehouse.

The blaze broke out Tuesday afternoon in West Babylon.

Wyandanch fire officials tell Newsday that half the building was engulfed in flames by the time their firefighters arrived.

Officials say the building had been packed with furniture and that a couple of glue tanks exploded. Part of the building collapsed.

No one was hurt. The fire didn’t spread to other buildings and was contained by 4 p.m. Firefighters battled the inferno into the night.

Firefighters from at least six departments helped battle the fire.

Authorities haven’t determined what caused the blaze to break out.
