CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - Bricks from a building in downtown Corinth fell onto the street and sidewalk after part of wall collapsed.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1W2f7I1 ) the incident happened Tuesday afternoon. No injuries were reported, but there was vehicle damage, a crushed awning and a smashed building window.

City building inspector Greg Tyson says it’s unclear why the bricks fell loose from the building.

Firefighters worked on the roof to remain the remaining loose bricks.

Chief Todd Welch says his main concern was safety.

Tyson says the building’s tenants won’t be able go back in until it’s determined that the bricks are safe around the building.

A law firm is located on the first floor of the building, which has apartments as well.
