SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - A 2-year-old boy has died after falling into a pool in Sarasota County.
The Herald-Tribune of Sarasota (https://bit.ly/1WDFcx7 ) reports that the boy was pronounced dead Monday, two days after the boy had fallen into the pool.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies responded to a call about a young child who was being pulled from a pool Saturday afternoon. Neighbors performed CPR on the unresponsive boy until deputies and paramedics arrived. Afterward, the child was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and then to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.
He was pronounced dead Monday.
Detectives believe the drowning was accidental.
