MINDEN, Nev. (AP) - Deputies were justified in shooting and killing a man who reportedly threatened his wife and said he’d kill a neighbor and shoot a police officer.

KRNV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1TocZ9W) Douglas County District Attorney Mark B. Jackson said in a statement that the deputies fired their weapons to defend themselves and others.

Mark Perkins died in July.

Authorities say Perkins was shot after he pointed weapons at deputies.

Jackson reviewed information including Perkins’s mental health records and a report that contained interviews from people involved.
