PITTSBURGH (AP) - A former western Pennsylvania recreation center life guard has agreed to plea deals in two sexual assault cases.
The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office says the sexual assault offenses have been withdrawn against 30-year-old Michael Kelly as part of the deals. He was sentenced to two years of probation.
The Castle Shannon man pleaded no contest to recklessly endangering another person and simple assault by physical menace in one case on Tuesday. Police had alleged that he forced the victim to have sex with him.
In the other case, Kelly pleaded guilty to corruption of minors. Police had alleged that he had sex with a girl who was 16.
Charges including rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse were dropped with the consent of the alleged victims and police.
