FORT JACKSON, S.C. (AP) - Military veterans and retirees from all service branches are invited to Fort Jackson’s Retiree Appreciation Days for activities ranging from medical screenings to a golf tournament.
The events start Thursday with a free breakfast at Officers Club and transport to Hilton Field to attend soldiers’ graduation from basic combat training. Attendees may march in review and will be recognized for their service.
A golf tournament is set for Friday morning at the Golf Club with a $40 fee for members and $50 for non-members and guests.
A health and benefits expo is set for Saturday at the Solomon Center, where screenings and information booths are available for consultations.
