MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - The search has resumed for a man reported missing in the surf off Myrtle Beach.
Local media outlets report a Coast Guard helicopter and personnel from the fire department and other agencies began the search shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday and looked for several hours before it became too dark.
The search then resumed Wednesday morning in the area near Springmaid Pier.
Authorities say several people had reported a man struggling in the surf.
They say no one has filed a missing person report and they have no more information about the man.
