MABLETON, Ga. (AP) - A Mableton man convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl has been sentenced to 290 years in prison.

Cobb District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Kim Isaza says 33-year-old Louis Eugene Abram was found guilty by a jury Friday of statutory rape, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. Abram acted as his own attorney.

Isaza says Abram was also convicted of 11 counts of sexual exploitation of children after authorities found images on his phone showing Abram molesting other “unidentified but clearly underage girls.”

Abram spent several hours cross-examining his victim, and testified that he was the only person hurt by the acts.

Abram will have to spend all but one year of his 290-year sentence behind bars. He has been in custody since his 2014 arrest, and will get credit for time served.
