Milwaukee Art Museum hires new director

MILWAUKEE (AP) - The director of a museum in Florida has been hired as the new director of the Milwaukee Art Museum.

The Journal Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1XyCs3M ) reported Tuesday that Marcelle Polednik has been hired as the Milwaukee museum’s new director. She’s currently director and chief curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville at the University of North Florida.

Polednik is expected to begin her work at the Milwaukee museum in August. She has a doctorate in art history from New York University.
