RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Court records show that five women in the past year filed court requests for protection from a man accused of hiring two men to kill his ex-girlfriend.

The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1TZ9WVT ) the ex-girlfriend, Jessica Rehfeld, was among them.

She wrote “I feel my life is in danger” in her request, which was made six days before police say the 22-year-old Rapid City woman was stabbed to death in May 2015 and buried in a remote grave near Rockerville.

Rehfeld’s body was found Friday. Authorities have arrested three people on first-degree murder charges and two others on accessory charges. Among those arrested on a murder charge is 26-year-old Jonathon Klinetobe, of Sturgis, Rehfeld’s ex-boyfriend.

It isn’t clear if Klinetobe has an attorney. The jail doesn’t take messages for inmates.
